Values

FAMILY
There are few joys that compare to being a good spouse and parent. While my wife, Nicky, and I have our challenges in parenting, our 2 boys are growing up well. They bring unrivaled joy. My family is blessed in many ways not the least of which is the fortune to live in a great community with excellent schools, great beauty and kind people. As much as I will work very hard as your State Representative, my faith and family will continue to come first in my life. This prioritization will help me be a better representative for our community.

COMMUNITY
The neighborhoods that make up our community are exceptional. The more involved that I become, the more respect I have for all of the volunteers, elected officials and staff that make our community one of the best in the Lehigh Valley. My family and I enjoy being active with our church, Lower Macungie Youth Association (LMYA) and most recently for me, the Lower Macungie Township Environmental Advisory Council (EAC). This group serves to advise the Township Board of Commissioners as they consider environmental issues, providing pubic education and awareness.

These values coupled with a career marked by service to children, youth and
families as well as achieving a Master of Business Administration degree
(M.B.A.), drive me to focus on 3 core issues in state government:

  1. Restore public trust in state government by embracing true transparency
and reign in wasteful spending. Simply stated, the government should only
do for its citizens that which the citizenry can not do efficiently or
    effectively for themselves.
    • With one of the most expensive legislatures in the country next to
California and New York coupled with multi-billion dollar budget deficits,
we have plenty of work to do!

  2. Concentrate on Education, Energy, the Environment and how these issues
interact with the Economy. A thriving Economy in the 21st Century is
generated by success in these three areas. A vibrant economy affords our
best opportunity to meet the needs of taxpayers, businesses, families,
    children and seniors!
    • By shifting our concept of these issues as expenses or cost and looking
at them as sound Investments in our future, we can begin to have real
debates about how to make the needed improvements in our public policy.

  3. Tap into the Expertise and Passion of our local leaders and innovators.
Every district has among it, highly talented, intelligent and motivated
people. As the campaign visits with voters in the district, we will be
looking to connect with you and find ways for you to make an impact on
    state government.
    • The success of any democracy relies on the active participation of the
people. This campaign and, if elected, my commitment will be to not only
hear your insights but to create meaningful ways for them to be realized in
      the governance process.

FAITH
Attending Bethany Church on Brookside Road has been a fantastic gift to me and my family. We have never felt more at home than we do at Bethany. My faith is a constant guide in my life. As your representative in Harrisburg, a driving goal will be to re-establish your faith that elected officials are working for your best interests.
